ABOUT LAUREN

At a very young age, Lauren's mom would have to store her makeup at high places so Lauren couldn't get her hands on it and "paint" with her products. Her curiosity for makeup and its transformation possibilities always fascinated her which lead this southern girl down a path towards pageants. Cue mom's Mary Kay lady smearing orange toned foundation and silvery blue eye shadow all over her and her sister's face. Thus, was born her skill to apply dramatic makeup that could withstand stage lighting and reach large crowds... and not be orange...

Also, a theatre actor, she honed her skills even further than beauty, but also in character makeup and facial manipulation. Lauren earned a theatre scholarship from Lambuth University, a small liberal arts college in Jackson, TN. There, she would divide her time between the stage and costume room where she learned even more about stage makeup and hair. Beauty makeup, however, always kept a strong presence throughout college as she would do makeup for pageants, sorority and fraternity formals, practically anything she could for extra money out of her caboodle filled with Wet n Wild makeup.

Once graduated, Lauren made her way to Chicago, IL to try her hand at acting. Or not. When she received more requests for her makeup talents than that of her theatrical skills, Lauren quickly realized where her career path was taking her. It was time to go back to school ... this time for makeup. Now, a Certified Makeup Artist, her skill set includes weddings, events, TV, film, theatrical, editorial, SFX and corrective makeup.
